Winter holidays may seem like the ideal time to hibernate, but the 13 resorts managed by the City of Cape Town offer affordable getaways to take the chill out of the season.
‘Winter is the ideal time to make use of our excellent holiday facilities and enjoy a break in the heart of the off-peak season,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security; and Social Services, Alderman JP Smith.
The City’s resorts receive between 600 and 1 000 bookings per month during the peak summer season, while in winter the average is 270 bookings per month.
‘Rates are lower during the winter season, making it the ideal time for a holiday to recharge for the rest of the year. Our resorts offer something for everyone and I want to encourage residents to make use of our facilities,’ said Alderman Smith.
