City offices closed on Heritage Day

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. City officials continue to process as many transactions as possible, despite the COVID-19 impact.
City staff have processed more than half a million transactions, including motor vehicle licenses and renewals to date. This is so as to ensure that we offer services to the best of our ability, even in abnormal times.
Customers are reminded of the following (regulations as per the National Department of Transport):
- Discs that expired on 31 August 2020 as well as those who received a three-month COVID-19 grace period (for licences that expired on 31 March, 30 April and 31 May) to renew by 22 September 2020
- Discs that expired on 30 June 2020: payment and renewal had to be done by 21 July 2020
- Discs that expired on 31 July 2020: payment and renewal had to be done by 21 August 2020
- Motor trade vehicle numbers/trade plate for motor vehicle dealers: renew by 30 November 2020
- Driver licenses, learner’s licenses, and roadworthy certificates: renew by 31 January 2021

For account payments:
- Online: www.Easypay.co.za or www.payCity.co.za
- EFTs: Select the City as a bank-listed beneficiary. Use only your nine-digit municipal account number as a reference
- Retailers: Checkers, Pick n Pay, Shoprite, Spar and Woolworths
- e-Services: Use the City’s online e-services portal
- ATM: Contact your bank to add the City as an ATM beneficiary

- View current account and account history
- Apply to receive accounts via email
