City offices closed on 21 and 22 March ​for public holiday

The City of Cape Town’s municipal offices, including cash, motor vehicle registration and licensing, and Human Settlements offices will be closed on 21 and 22 March 2021

The City’s customer offices in the Lansdowne Corner Mall, Liberty Promenade Mall, Mitchells Plain, and Table Bay Mall will be open on Sunday, 21 March 2021, to help customers attend to urgent business. The offices will be open from 09:00 to 13:00.

Customers are reminded that municipal accounts may be paid at any Shoprite/Checkers, Pick n Pay, PEP, Woolworths and selected Spar shops , as well as online at www.powertime.co.za or www.easypay.co.za, and the renewal of motor vehicle licences may be made online at https://eservices.capetown.gov.za/

Payment of pre-due date traffic fines may be made online at www.standardbank.co.za (Standard Bank clients only); www.fnb.co.za (FNB clients only) and www.powertime.co.za or selected Spar stores.  Standard Bank and First National Bank clients may also pay their pre-due date traffic fines at their respective ATMs.

For account payments:

  • EFTs: Select the City as a bank-listed beneficiary. Use only your nine-digit municipal account number as reference
  • Retailers: Checkers, Pick n Pay, Shoprite, Spar and Woolworths
  • e-Services: Use the City’s online e-services portal
  • ATM: contact your bank to add the City as an ATM beneficiary

Register on e-Services

  • Renew vehicle licenses
  • Submit water/electricity readings
  • Pay accounts online
  • View current account and account history
  • Apply to receive accounts via email
  • Log service requests
