1. The City Manager, Mr Achmat Ebrahim; the Commissioner for the Transport and Urban Development Authority, Ms Melissa Whitehead; the Executive Director: Directorate of the Mayor, Mr Craig Kesson; not be placed on precautionary suspension at this time.

2. In order to ensure that all staff are treated equally, the suspension of the Portfolio Manager for Probity, Ms Lindiwe Ndaba, be lifted with immediate effect so that she be allowed to return to active duty immediately and that no further disciplinary action be taken against her until the outcome of the relevant current investigation is reported to Council.

Furthermore, the City’s Speaker, Alderman Dirk Smit, ruled that all documentation presented at this confidential meeting be open to the public in the interest of transparency.

‘We now leave this matter to the independent investigator and ask that all parties involved respect the process and allow the investigation to follow its course accordingly, as resolved,’ said Alderman Smit.
