City commences with rehabilitation of Bishop Lavis roads
14 March 2023
The City’s Urban Mobility Directorate has started with the rehabilitation of various roads in Bishop Lavis.
The work is planned to take place between 07:00 and 17:30 from Monday to Friday.
'The City's Road Infrastructure Management team has planned this road rehabilitation project in Bishop Lavis thoroughly and is very eager to make headway by implementing this project successfully. We ask that residents in Bishop Lavis remain patient while these works are under way and that they cooperate with the team on the ground in order for them to complete each phase of this project as efficiently as possible. Some congestion along these roads can be expected, so where possible we advise residents to make use of alternative routes,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
The City will ensure that flag personnel direct the traffic through temporary detours around the work area and that all work areas are demarcated to regulate traffic flow.
