​This will result in the disruption of the water supply from 21:00 on Tuesday, 19 May until 02:00 on Wednesday 20 May. The same water supply disruption will again be experienced from 21:00 on Thursday, 21 May until 02:00 on Friday, 22 May.
 
Residents are kindly requested to store water in clean sealed containers for use during this period. They should also ensure their taps are closed during this period to avoid water loss or damage when the water supply is restored.
 
This work to split the water supply reticulation system into smaller water supply zones forms part of the City of Cape Town’s Water Demand Management Strategy. It will allow the City to manage water pressure more effectively, thereby reducing the possibility of pipe bursts, and water wastage.
