City advises of water supply disruption in part of Constantia

The City’s Water and Sanitation Department will be doing repairs to the leaking 400mm diameter water supply main on the corner of Kendal and Spaanschemat roads in Constantia from 20:00 on Wednesday, 27 July 2022 until 04:00 on Thursday, 28 July 2022. This will result in the disruption of the water supply to the area along Spaanschemat Road between Constantia Main Road and Firgrove Road, including the Constantia Village Shopping Centre, the Constantia Emporium and all the roads leading off that section of Spaanschemat Road. This is to allow the maintenance crew to do the repairs safely.

Careful consideration has been given to the planning of this work to ensure minimal disruption to the consumers in the affected area.

Consumers are kindly requested to store water upfront in clean, sealed containers for domestic consumption during this period and ensure that their taps are closed to prevent any water loss and/or damage when the water supply is restored.

The City regrets the inconvenience caused, but it is imperative that it maintains its water supply infrastructure to the benefit of its consumers.
