City advises of water supply disruption in Glencairn

5 November 2020

The City’s Water and Sanitation Department will be doing emergency repairs on the fire hydrant in Hopkins Way on Friday, 6 November 2020.

Residents are kindly requested to store water upfront in clean, sealed containers for domestic use during this period, and to ensure that their taps are closed so as not to incur any water loss or damage if water supply is restored unexpectedly.

A water tanker will be parked in Clan Stewart Street Glencairn Heights to supply residents with water for domestic consumption where required.

The City sincerely regrets any inconvenience in this regard, but it is imperative that it maintains its supply infrastructure to prevent water loss and to sustain reliable supply in future.
