The urgent maintenance work will involve replacing a section of the pipe in Napoleon Avenue and will require that the water supply to Duynefontein be temporarily shut on Wednesday, 22 July 2020 from 08:00 until 16:00.

The City is asking residents in the affected area to please store water in clean sealed containers for use during this period. Residents need to also please ensure that their taps are kept closed during this period to prevent water loss and/or damage when the water supply is restored.

A water tanker will be circulating in the area to provide water for domestic consumption where needed.

Every effort is being made to restore the water supply as soon as possible under the prevailing conditions.

The City sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused during this time. It is however imperative that the water supply infrastructure is maintained effectively to ensure a continued, reliable supply of drinking water to residents.
