City advises of temporary road closures for the Cape Town Cycle Tour

9 March 2017

Cape Town will once again be the proud host of the world’s largest timed cycle race for the 40th year. On Sunday 12 March 2017, thousands of cyclists will take to the road for a gruelling 109 km race around the Cape Peninsula.

To accommodate the cycle race, temporary road closures will be in place. This will affect the normal flow of traffic in and around the city bowl and southern suburbs. As such, road users are asked to plan their routes accordingly.

A detailed breakdown of the closures/restrictions and deviations is available on the City’s website here.
