City advises of planned power supply interruption in parts of V and A Waterfront and Somerset Hospital precinct

It is important for residents and businesses in the area to remember that the supply could be restored at any time and all electrical installations must be treated as live for the full duration of the interruption,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Energy, Councillor Beverley van Reenen.
Please note:
Customers are encouraged to switch off appliances as a precaution and to avoid damage caused by power surges when the power comes back on.
The Green Point Main Station electricity maintenance work will be carried out over two weeks, on two separate dates.
- Saturday, 10 June 2023 between 22:00 and 07:00. Alternatively on Saturday, 17 June 2023 between 22:00 and 07:00. Weather permitting.
- Saturday, 24 June 2024 between 22:00 and 07:00. Weather permitting. This planned interruption will affect customers in parts of the V&A Waterfront and the Green Point precinct.
