City advises of low water pressure or supply interruptions in the Blue Downs area

6 August 2020

Residents of the Blue Downs area, including Tuscany Village and Nuwe Begin, are advised that they will experience low water pressure or disruptions to water supply over the next 24 hours.

The area around the leak is currently being drained to allow for repairs to take place. The actual repair work will also result in the complete suspension of water supply to Tuscany Village (Nuwe Begin). This work is currently scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, 7 August 2020 between 09:00 and 14:00.

While the site is being prepared for repair work, the above-mentioned areas will experience low water pressure or possible intermittent supply, most commonly in multi-storey buildings and higher-lying areas.

Residents are advised to store water in clean sealed containers for domestic use during this time. Furthermore we request that residents only use water for essential purposes until repairs are complete, as this will help minimise the extent of pressure drops and supply interruptions.

The City sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused, but it is imperative that we maintain our water supply infrastructure in a manner that will ensure the provision of good quality drinking water to our residents.
