'We have equipped our Peace Ambassadors to advance peace initiatives in their communities. They have further been trained to seek active solutions to overcome issues of crime and violence in their communities. This programme contributes to our aim of building a 'City of Hope' as it encourages residents to take ownership of their communities by being ambassadors of and for peace. What a responsibility, however, Capetonians are resilient and I can see these ambassadors are ready to contribute to a more peaceful Atlantis,' said Alderman Eddie Andrews, the City's Deputy Mayor and Mayoral Committee Member for Spatial Planning and Environment.End
