Cape Town dam levels increase by 0,8% to 63,5%

Dams supplying the Cape Metro increased by 0,8% over the past week (29 June – 5 July 2020) to 63,5% of total capacity‘For comparison, around the same time last year, our dams were just over 45% full, and 31,5% full in June 2018. While the weather forecast looks clear for the first part of the week, rains are expected to lash Cape Town again starting Thursday. We are looking forward to seeing the upward trend continue in the weeks ahead,’ said Mayoral Committee Member for Water and Waste, Alderman Xanthea Limberg.
