​The work involves completing the servicing of its turbines which began last week, and is expected to take approximately 48 hours to complete.

The northern areas of Bloekoembos and Wallacedene will be receiving water at lower than usual water pressure as a result of the work.

Residents are kindly requested to minimise their water consumption while work is in progress. Water supply to parts of the Drakenstein and Stellenbosch Municipalities will also be affected, and they have been informed accordingly.

The City sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused, but it is imperative that it enhances its water supply infrastructure to benefit residents in these areas.
