We intend amending a contract for the provision of construction works for the installation and replacement of electrical equipment and Infrastructure for the City's Energy Directorate, and we want to hear from you.
Notice is hereby given in term of section 116(3) of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, No. 56 of 2003 (MFMA) that the City of Cape Town (“the City”) intends to amend the contract listed in the table below:

| Tender DP8409S/2023/24: Provision of Construction Works for the Installation and Replacement of Electrical Equipment and Infrastructure for the Energy Directorate | Amendment to the contract period at the same terms and conditions, with adjusted rates, on a month-to-month basis, for the period 1 February 2027 to 31 July 2027. The amendment is required to ensure continuity of service delivery and to prevent a gap in the availability of the required construction services, which could negatively impact critical electrification, public lighting and equipment replacement projects. The extension will safeguard the City’s ability to maintain continuity of essential works and support the reliable delivery of electricity services while the longer-term procurement process is being finalised. | 31 January 2027 |
Notice is further given in accordance with section 21 of the Local Government Municipal Systems Act, No. 32 of 2000, that you can submit comments in respect of the proposed amendments.
