Teams have been working nonstop to restore electricity in the affected communities and have already restored power in numerous areas. In many areas, the nature of the repair work is tricky and dangerous, especially in difficult weather conditions. The teams are doing everything in their power to ensure that supply in the remaining areas is restored as quickly as humanly possible.</div><div><br></div><div>‘We remind residents to only use one reporting channel when reporting faults so that delays in attending to duplicate service requests are avoided,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Energy, Councillor Beverley van Reenen.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>Please note:</strong></div><div><br></div><div><strong>High service request volumes are being experienced which leads to longer outage durations. Where damage to infrastructure is concerned, it is unfortunately not possible to give accurate restoration times.
