In many cases, some of the recipients of these bursaries in fact become one of the talented professionals on the City of Cape team and it is for this reason that we award the financial assistance to students who are already interested in one of the identified City scarce skills list categories,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.

The bursaries also include capped allowances for study-aid; transport and meals.
