About

The Jack Muller conservation area found within the heart Jack Muller Park is located on Frans Conradie Drive and comprises the remnants of Cape Flats Sand fynbos vegetation.The conservation area can be accessed by footpaths that allow visitors to experience a picturesque display of indigenous fauna and flora species throughout the year in all weather conditions.
The Jack Muller Conservation Area boasts a tremendous variety of plant species within its 7,5 hectare area that includes the vulnerable Gethyllis afra (Kukumakranka), the near threatened Lampranthus explanatus, Gladiolus carinatus (Blue Afrikaner), the near threatened Lachenalia bulbifera and includes many more Cape Flats Sand fynbos species populations that desperately need to be conserved in an ever-expanding urban sprawl.
