Glencairn Beach

Glencairn Beach

About

Glencairn Beach is a great spot for swimming and body surfing, with a tidal pool nearby. Dolphins and seals are often spotted and the beach is ideal for whale watching from July to November, when the Southern Right Whale visits False Bay.

Glencairn has perfect conditions for many water sports especially kitesurfing when the southeaster blows. The beach is right next to Glencairn train station and has ample parking. Although this beach is considered safe for swimming, it is recommended that beach goers only swim where and when a lifeguard is on duty.
