Reset your e-Services password
Managing your municipal accounts and accessing other City services via e-Services requires a valid login. If you’ve already registered, but can’t remember your password or if you are unable sign in for another reason, we can help you reset your password.
Reset your password
mobile devices not supported
You cannot reset your password, retrieve your username, check/change your email address or register for e-Services using your mobile phone or tablet. You will need to use a laptop or desktop computer instead.
To reset your password, follow these steps:
Step 1: Visit
e-Services and click on ‘Reset your password here’.
When resetting your password it cannot:
- be the same as your previous five passwords;
- be your username;
- reset using a cellphone
Remember
Your password needs to have a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 14 characters.
Step 2: On the Password reset page, enter your username or your ID/Passport number, as well as the email address you used when you registered for e-Services. Once you’ve entered the information, click on ‘Request a new password’. You will notice a confirmation message stating that a new, temporary password was requested.
You should receive an email with the new, temporary password within approximately 10 minutes. Please check your junk or spam folder as well. You will need to change the temporary password the next time you log on to e-Services.
In the event of a longer delay, please wait at least 24 hours before requesting another password, as requesting too many new passwords within a short space of time could result in your username being locked. If your username does become locked, however, you will need to reset your password.
