Request ECD centre training and capacity building

We provide training and capacity building to registered Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres across the metro, aiming to support ECD practitioners, caregivers, ECD forums, governing bodies, and parents making use of the centres.

Learn about the project

This project helps ensure that the best care is available for young children in their early development stage - essential to physical, emotional and social growth. Our Community, Arts and Culture Development Department, together with the Western Cape Government Department of Social Development visited ECD centres in 2015 to find out whether they met the standards for registration. Where necessary, we have assisted centres in need with education training and capacity building, including first aid.
