Read more below:

The City of Cape Town is extending its services at various vehicle registration and licensing centres on Saturdays to ensure that the process of vehicle licence renewal and registration is convenient and smooth for residents across the City.

The extension of operating hours to a Saturday assists in alleviating pressure on the centres during the week and also does not disrupt the schedule of residents during the working week. The Brackenfell centre’s Saturday opening hours will definitely alleviate queues at the Kuils River, Brackenfell and Kraaifontein centres during the week creating a better experience for customers in that region of the city. Vehicle registration and licensing centres that will be open on a Saturday include the Strandfontein, Strand, Plumstead, Pinelands, Milnerton, Liberty Promenade Mall, Fezeka, Cape Town Civic Centre, Bellville, Airport Industria and Kuils River centres.

We would also like to encourage all customers to renew their vehicle licences as soon as possible to avoid hefty fines for expired motor vehicle licences, especially ahead of any travels over the Easter period. Residents can have their vehicles registered and licensed at any one of the City’s vehicle registration and licensing centres convenient to them.

Residents are reminded to take along their proof of address when renewing their motor vehicle licences, which must be done annually as this is a National Government requirement. It is very important for customers to have all of the required documentation with them when they apply for licence disc renewals to prevent any additional delays.

Furthermore, for motorists’ convenience, card payment facilities are available for vehicle registrations and licence disc renewals at the motor vehicle registration and licence offices, including the Cape Town Civic Centre. The City will accept payments of up to R7 000 per transaction by credit or debit card, or any other means of payment which does not hold any cost implications for the client.

To see a complete list of all the centres see link:

End

2018-03-18T22:00:00ZGP0|#1d539e44-7c8c-4646-887d-386dc1d95d70;L0|#01d539e44-7c8c-4646-887d-386dc1d95d70|City news;GTSet|#62efe227-07aa-45e7-944c-ceebacca891d;GP0|#904f8ac3-ad18-4896-a9a8-86feb1d4a1b7;L0|#0904f8ac3-ad18-4896-a9a8-86feb1d4a1b7|StatementsGP0|#8b3c111c-1d4f-4480-932d-e24db2753d85;L0|#08b3c111c-1d4f-4480-932d-e24db2753d85|Motor vehicle licensing;GTSet|#2e3de6c1-9951-4747-8f53-470629a399bb;GP0|#9d3ba52f-c904-4981-9e59-10d6eb45a2a2;L0|#09d3ba52f-c904-4981-9e59-10d6eb45a2a2|Brackenfell;GPP|#f8f2585b-9635-45b1-a70d-317c10014f38;GPP|#a85b1f48-6c58-46ff-a296-1e6d58b3c03b;GP0|#54023efe-5443-41f4-98c9-065296a7c3d7;L0|#054023efe-5443-41f4-98c9-065296a7c3d7|service delivery1
