City advises of water supply disruption affecting the Montague Gardens industrial area
Zero-pressure testing is part of the installation process for pressure management technology. It involves cutting off water supply to a particular supply zone to see if there are any unmapped inflows that need to be taken into account before smart pressure reducing valves are installed.

Businesses are advised to store water in clean, sealed containers for use during this period and to ensure that their taps are closed during this period to avoid water loss or damage when the supply is restored.

This work forms part of the City of Cape Town’s Water Demand Management Strategy. Managing water pressure more effectively reduces the possibility of pipe bursts and water wastage.

The City regrets any inconvenience caused.
2020-11-03T22:00:00ZGP0|#1d539e44-7c8c-4646-887d-386dc1d95d70;L0|#01d539e44-7c8c-4646-887d-386dc1d95d70|City news;GTSet|#62efe227-07aa-45e7-944c-ceebacca891dGP0|#dd9b5445-92f0-4a44-9ca3-647380446295;L0|#0dd9b5445-92f0-4a44-9ca3-647380446295|Water disruption;GTSet|#2e3de6c1-9951-4747-8f53-470629a399bb;GPP|#8f4fc986-7316-49fe-aa93-6ae4c15611bf;GPP|#eea2ec5e-e535-4764-9094-bb6325d8d145;GP0|#42305b06-67ec-4657-9272-641a0ea14201;L0|#042305b06-67ec-4657-9272-641a0ea14201|water supply10
