Accredited waste service providers

<h2 class="sectHeading">About</h2><p>The disposal of waste materials from residential or commercial premises must be done responsibly, and must comply with the City’s <a href="https://resource.capetown.gov.za/documentcentre/Documents/Procedures%2c%20guidelines%20and%20regulations/DISPOSAL_GUIDELINES__1_%20%282%29.pdf" target="_blank">waste disposal guidelines</a>. We recommend that you do not make use of informal waste removal services, but rather contact the City to collect your waste. Alternatively, you can make use of an accredited waste service provider.</p><p>If any waste is illegally disposed of, the person who produced the waste will be liable to a fine or prosecuted in terms of the <a href="https://resource.capetown.gov.za/documentcentre/Documents/Bylaws%20and%20policies/Integrated%20Waste%20Management%20Amended%20By-law%202010.pdf" target="_blank">Integrated Waste Management By-law</a>.</p> <span> <div class="notification with-heading dark-copy pink bg-light-grey"><div class="graphic with-border"> <i class="info note"></i> </div><div class="desc"><h4>vehicle impoundments</h4><p>If you dump waste illegally, your vehicle will be impounded and will only be released when the case is finalised, and you have paid the release fee.
