RESOLVED that it be NOTED that an application for a liquor licence received from LUCKY LIQUORS was considered in terms of sub-delegated authority and that the following recommendation was forwarded to the Liquor Authority in terms of the Western Cape Liquor Act, 2008, as amended:
Subcouncil 16 recommends that the application for a Consumption OFF Premises Liquor Licence, reference no. LLA23080020, for the business Lucky Liquors, NOT BE SUPPORTED.
The Subcouncil does not support the application for the following reasons:
1. An overabundance of off consumption and to have an OFF consumption in between all the bars and nightclubs is not advisable.
2. Building under construction and City Health and City Emergency Services were unable to gain access to conduct their respective inspections.
3. Submission of approved building plans to City Emergency Services.
