RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY that:

An administrative penalty in the amount of R5 000.00 BE DETERMINED in terms of Section 129 of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 in respect of Erf 97991 Cape Town at Newlands regarding the unauthorised building work as shown on the plans drawn by Point 2 Designs, with drawing number 2022-10, sheets 20_20 and 20_21, both revision B, both dated 09-09-2022.

.REASONS FOR DECISION:

The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s report, except reason 6.7, which is amended as follows:

6.7. One of the people involved in the trust that owns the property was also involved in land use contraventions on Erf 45791 Cape Town at Rondebosch.
