Resolution detail

The official, Mr M. Hendricks thanked the councillors and stakeholders for their support during the various engagement sessions. Their department received good support from businesses and the community. There were some concerns and the department tried to incorporate the concerns into their planned report. The concerns that could not be addressed, were explained to the community. 

The plan is to have the CLO as the main contact person between the community,  businesses and the department. Going forward, the department will have quarterly meetings with the community, to update them in terms of the progress. If everything goes to plan, construction will commence during the next 2 to 3 weeks.

Cllr P.  Swart enquired whether the CLO has been appointed. The official confirmed that this has been done.
