Ward 30
Mr Bidla indicated that Manenberg Swimming Pool might not be open because of the collapse of a pipe, they are currently busy with investigation to determine the amount of work required.
Ward 40
Cllr Nqavashe inquired about the status of the Women for Change Project in ward 40. He identified the need for capital projects to be considered in future.
Mr Daniels gave the following report on projects in ward 40:
Capacity Building: Seniors - Ward 40: all the projects with Community Arts and Culture development (CACD) are in planning phase.
NW Patrol Equipment - Ward 40: The Subcouncil has submitted the required information for this project
Green Jobs - Ward 40: the project has not started yet, the Cllr is considering to reallocate funds
Driver’s License Training - Ward 40: this project is in the planning phase, it will be implemented by MURP
He added that there are two items that will go to the Adjustment Budget in January.
He stated that the Subcouncil followed up on the request for the Vuyani Clinic upgrade, but it did not get far because the land where the clinic is located does not belong to the City of Cape Town and negotiations are underway with the owners of the property.
