That it is NOTED that an application for the renewal of extended liquor trading hours (off-consumption) in respect of Checkers Hyper N1 City, situated at, Louwtjie Rothman Street, Goodwood for trading Sundays 11:00 – 18:00 was considered under sub-delegated authority by the Subcouncil Manager, in consultation with the Chairperson and Ward Councillor of Subcouncil 4 and that the following decision was taken on 15 May 2024:

That the application for the renewal of extended trading hours (off-consumption) submitted by Checkers Hyper N1 City, situated at, Louwtjie Rothman Street, Goodwood for trading on Sundays 11:00 – 18:00 BE APPROVED as it complies with the criteria included in the City of Cape Town: Control of Undertakings that Sell Liquor to the Public By-Law, 2013.

Should complaints be received concerning noise and/or unruly behaviour of patrons, these complaints will be investigated and may result in the extended trading hours being withdrawn and will also be referred to the Western Cape Liquor Authority which may jeopardise the renewal of the liquor license.

This approval is also subject to compliance with all relevant by-laws of the City of Cape Town.

This approval will be valid for 12 months from the date of the decision subject to the possession of a valid liquor license.
