It is recommended that portion of Cape Farm No. 616, situated at Govan Mbeki Road, Philippi, in extent approximately 7420m² which is indicated in more detail by the figure ABCDEFGHJ on Plan 130010741, attached as Annexure “A”, that the current Reservation over the properties for Urban Waste Management Directorate (Waste Services Department) be cancelled and the properties be reserved for the Human Settlement Directorate (Informal Settlements Department), subject to the following conditions: |

The subject property shall be reserved for incorporation into the development and upgrading of the Kampies Informal Settlement;

The Human Settlements Directorate (Informal Settlements Department) takes responsibility for the required land use processes, as well as compliance with any related legislation;

The said Human Settlements Directorate (Informal Settlements Department) accepts full responsibility for the management and maintenance of the land, any current structures on the land and any structure to be erected thereon, including maintenance, utility consumption, security and content insurance, as is applicable;

That all costs related to the above be provided for by the Human Settlements Directorate (Informal Settlements Department). .
