Mr. Daniels introduced the report and said that it requires Subcouncil to consider the following traffic calming requests: - Ward 49: Speed Humps - Statice Street Kewtown - 7200537098 - Raised Intersection Corner Statice Street and Eland Street Kewtown - 7200537101 - Speed Humps - Clover Crescent Kewtown – 7200537102 - Raised Intersection Corner Albermale Road & Harmonie Road Hazendal - 7200537103 Cllr Adams raised a concern that the alternative measures were not specified. He wanted to know if the Roads Department is providing the extended funding source as Councillors cannot accommodate all the requests in their ward allocation funding. Mr. Daniels explained that the extended funding source is ward allocation. The other probably less popular source would be communities themselves, who would need to source Mr. De Villiers explained that they have limited funding for speed humps and cannot accommodate all the requests. However, he alerted the Subcouncil thatManenberg is one of the areas who are on the list for road rehabilitation and that this project will be implemented soon. Cllr Adams requested the list of areas that will be covered to be sent. Cllr Adams moved for the adoption of the reported seconded by Cllr Nikelo. There was unanimous agreement with the resolution.
