Resolution detail

Sandisiwe Tshandu introduced the report. She explained that she extended the invitation to the Electricity Department to answer question related to them but they were unavailable to attend the Subcouncil Meeting. The report recommends that a Portion of Public Street, Remainder Erf 29481 Cape Town, situated at Oasis Road, Hazendal, Cape Town, measuring approximately 9m² in extent, indicated as ABCD on Plan 130010251 attached as Annexure “A”, be reserved for the Electricity Generation and Distribution Department for a mini substation. The Electricity Generation and Distribution Department will take a responsibility for the required land use processes and will ensure compliance, they will manage and maintain the land and all costs related to the mini substation will be provided to them. Councilor Adams wanted to understand if the Electricity Department is entirely responsible to secure the mini substation. He was also concerned if they will put a cage to secure the space. Cllr Adams moved for the adoption of the reported seconded by Cllr Nikelo. There was unanimous agreement with the resolution. RESOLVED That the report on the Reservation of City Land, a Portion of Public Street, Being Remainder ERF 29481, Cape Town: Directorate: Energy, Department: Electricity Generation and Distribution BE NOTED.
