L Bobo indicated that officials are present at the meeting to respond to this MRA.

 

C Thiem stated that a report did not make it to the Subcouncil agenda, but at Erf 8448, 11 units where handed to the beneficiaries, some will be handed in mid-August.

 

She said that in Erf 2489, the roll out will be from August till January 2025

 

Cllr M Gadeni said the report is noted but all these needs to be submitted in a report is writing for noting by the Subcouncil.

 

Cllr T Mjuza was happy with the progress of this project but there is a concerning disgesture with controlling of this project and there has never been a PSC meeting, there are rumors that contractor is head-hunting and such things might hinder the progress of the project, it is proper to have a meeting with the contractor, CLO, Cllr and Officials in order for information to be shared accurately.

Cllr N Makasi at the last meeting the Line Department reported that a new contractor will be on site to handout completed units, which this never materialized in December as promised.

 

She said on Cllr’s speech, I mentioned that an urgent meeting with all relevant role-players needs to be called for this project including the Mayor whom made promises for this project.

 

Cllr T Mjuza indicated that there was no confirmation on appointment replaced contractor, the 27 houses that were short with snags to be completed and it was agreed at that meeting held in Civic Centre, everything w.r.t. appeals process should be completed by 03^rd February 2024.

 

X Joja indicated that he will follow up with MMC and provide feedback to Cllr T Mjuza.
