That Subcouncil 6 considered the application for the renewal of extension of
liquor trading hours submitted by OK LIQUORS DE TIJGER – WCP/041886 for Monday to Saturday trading for an Off-Consumption Premises as well as the various comments/objections received, and resolved to REFUSE the application for the following reason:

Erf 19175, Parow is zoned Local Business 2 (LB2). As such, the sale of

alcoholic beverages is not a permitted land use right. On 10 May 2018, a consent use approval (LUM 70357427) was granted by the Municipal Planning Tribunal for a period of five (5) years, restricting the operating hours from 09h00 to 18h00 Mondays to Saturdays. Resultantly, the consent use approval has lapsed by 10 May 2023. Therefore, Land Use Management does not support the applications for the extension of liquor trading hours as an application will need to be submitted to Land Use Management to permit the sale of alcoholic beverages on the property.
