Resolution detail

That the decision taken by Subcouncil at the meeting dated 16 February 2023 in
respect of the Liquor Licence application: Belhar Tops, Ref LLA22120002 BE
REVIEWED AND RESCINDED.

That it be NOTED that an application for a liquor licence received from BELHAR
TOPS - LLA22120002 for off-consumption be considered and that the following
recommendation be forwarded to the Liquor Authority in terms of the Western
Cape Liquor Act, 2008, as amended:

Subcouncil 06 recommended that the application for a Consumption OFF
Premises Liquor Licence, reference no. LLA22120002, for the business
BELHAR TOPS - Ref LLA22120002 BE REFUSED for the following reasons:

Erf 19769, Parow is zoned General Industrial 1 (GI1), as such, the sale of

alcoholic beverages is not a permitted. Land Use Management does not support the liquor licence application.

According to Fire Services: This building is still under construction and the department was unable to do an inspection of the premises on 30 November 2022. Another inspection was conducted on 7 February 2023 and 09 May 2023 and the building is still under construction.
