That based on the full report as reflected on agenda pages 435 to 496 the following be recommended:

That the re-distributed traffic from the R300 extension first be evaluated, before any geometric upgrades at Eversdal Road / La Gratitude Road intersection and Eversdal Road / Stellenryk Street intersection are considered for implementation.
• Eversdal Road / Zonne Road – Refer to Figure: TNDN3623-B (Annexure C)

Install R2 yield signage on the Zonne Road approach. (There is no change in the intersection control / geometry)

Replace the existing W205 sharp curve with a high visibility combination W205 sharp curve sign with a recommend speed of 40km/h. Similarly, as on the De Bron side.
• No upgrades are proposed at the following intersections:

Eversdal Road / Thibault Street intersection

Eversdal Road / Stodels Access intersection

Eversdal Road / Stellenberg Access intersection

Eversdal Road / Mountain View Road intersection

Note that no geometric upgrades are currently proposed at Eversdal Road / La Gratitude Road intersection and Eversdal Road / Stellenryk Street intersection.

It is recommended that these intersections be re-evaluated once the construction of the R300 is completed, to avoid any abortive costs.
FURTHER RECOMMENDED

That the Transport Community Engagement Unit, in liaison with the ward councillor arrange a feedback meeting informing the community of the outcome of the survey / investigation conducted.
