Cllr B Payiya stated that he had a discussion with the officials and requested that the process speeds up.

S Groenewald indicated that Ramaphosa is situated on Province land and the land owner has passed away, the portion of the land is still not available for purchase, she will liaise with Lwazi Nobaza whose project managing this process.
Cllr B Payiya said he is happy with the progress of Ramaphosa as the enumeration has started in those plots situated at City owned land, PPU is busy with surveys in the area but he is concerned on the purchasing of the pockets of this land that still needs to be transferred for City of Cape Town ownership. He requested a separate meeting with Informal Settlement Unit to address these issues.

S Mgcineni indicated that a separate meeting will be called to discuss this project with Ward Councillor and leadership.

X Joja indicated that an urgent meeting needs to be called for the Ramaphosa electrification to deal with this matter as the official that is supposed to respond is not part of today’s meeting. He proposed that an urgent follow up meeting with Ward Councillor & relevant official need to be called.
V. Kota indicated that numeration was done in December, the report was submitted to L. Powell, and this was completed.
X Joja indicated that he will follow up with Levona Powell’s office to provide proper report back on this project before the next Subcouncil meeting.

L Bobo indicated that there is progress w.r.t. engagement with officials and Ward Cllr, at previous meeting held, it was shown where will the cables be installed and the Substation will be situated in two Erf’s identified. The Line Department has indicated that the Erf belonging to the City of Cape Town will be utilized for the Substation, they are currently busy with purchase of second Erf and the Ward Cllr is happy with the progress of this project.

L Bobo indicated there is no feedback received but officials are in constant communication with Cllr Payiya regarding this matter.

L Bobo indicated that he is still waiting on report to be submitted for the update of Ramaphosa electrification.
Cllr B Payiya raised a concern that the Line Department is depending on the MyCiti project timelines, this will cause delays to the project as its being dragged and would request an urgent meeting with these officials so that there are timelines set to this project.
