Resolution detail

The Subcouncil Chairperson introduced this report and further granted an opportunity to the official to give a detailed report. Mr. Franken indicated that C F Felix company applied to lease a portion of ERF 39926 for security purposes. They have requested to enclose the lane in question with see through fencing. The conditions they have put forward to them is that the lane stays open at 06h30 am until 18h30 pm and for a sign to be put. The company has agreed to the conditions. They have approached the Subcouncil to support or comment to the application. Cllr Cassiem supported the application and indicated he was aware of this request mentioning that the area requires security. He indicated that the streetlights in that area have been off for a while and that increases danger and enables criminal activities to take place. He reported the streetlights several times but there services were not rendered. He recommended for the access control to be closed sooner maybe by 18h00 as that is an industrial area. He further requested the Subcouncil Manager to seek advice from Franken regarding Winter Crescent. The Subcouncil Chairperson advised the Cllr to send the reference numbers to the Subcouncil to follow up. Cllr Cassiem moved for noting of this report. Ald Jacobs seconded the proposal. There was unanimous agreement with the resolution
