Resolution detail
RESOLVED that having considered the City of Cape Town Traffic Calming Policy, Transport Planning and Network Management Department therefore indicates, that Geneva Drive is a class 4 Collector/ Distributor street Arterial where a balanced mobility and access needs to be maintained. Geneva Drive also connect Camps Bay Drive East to west. With reference to Traffic Calming Policy Directives, Section 7(1)(f and g): Physical traffic calming measures are not deemed appropriate on roads of this nature ,except at intersections or crossing point where the most vulnerable road user can be found crossing in large numbers at public amenities. The appropriate means of regulating driver’s speeds along Arterials is by effective law enforcement. Your request will therefore be referred to Traffic Services for consideration and direct response
