Resolution detail

It is recommended
 
                                    That the lease of a portion of City land, being a portion of Erf 1685-RE Somerset West, 166C Main Road, Stuart’s Hill, shown hatched and lettered ABCDEFGHIJKLM on the attached sketch marked Annexure A, in extent approximately 5 m², to Rich Rewards Leasing (Pty) Ltd, be approved subject to inter alia the following conditions, that:
 

1. A City approved rental of R4 500 per month excluding VAT where applicable be payable;

 

2. The rental will escalate at 6% per annum;

 

3. The lease will endure for a period of ten years, plus an option to renew, subject at any time to 2 months’ notice of termination;

 

4. The proposed leased area to be used for telecommunication infrastructure purposes only;

 

5. Subject to such further conditions imposed by the acting Director: Property Management in terms of his delegated authority;

 

6. Subject to compliance with any other statutory requirements;

 

7. No compensation will be payable for any improvement made to the property;

 

8. All outstanding accounts with the City of Cape Town be settled;

 
          i)       No lease agreement will be concluded until the Land Use application and an Electricity supply application being approved.
         
 j)       The objections received during the public participation process not be upheld.
