WARD 112:  Suikerbossie Road, Durbanville Hills (TNDN3377).  Request for traffic calming measures vicinity (12 Suikerbossie to after the corner in the vicinity of 13 Suikerbossie Road) received from Mr. & Mrs. Ricardo Loots 
 
That the request for traffic calming measures in the vicinity of 12 Suikerbossie to after the corning in the vicinity of 13 Suikerbossie Road, Durbanville Hills NOT BE SUPPORTED for reasons as set out below:
 
REASONS FOR NON SUPPORT AS PROVIDED BY TRANSPORT (Nobesuthu Nyati)
 

• Our assessment indicates that this is a typical residential road with no schools or public facilities, and therefore this road does not meet the requirements specified within Section 7(3) of the Traffic Calming Policy.
• Currently there is no indication that this is a critical road safety problem demanding immediate road safety interventions.
• Unless further quantifiable evidence is provided (such as times and locations of significant pedestrian activity or evidence of a serious incident),
• TCT will not be able to support the implementation of traffic calming along this road.”
