The Subcouncil manager said that the Report on Service Requests in Subcouncil 14 for February 2021 is for noting. Recommendations on page 82 lists the notifications created over February 2021, a total of 1256 notifications were created in areas of Subcouncil 14 during February. He referred to Annexure A of the report which shows a breakdown of areas where the service requests were created. The reports reflect the notifications based on how they are recorded with reference to spelling. There are 41% notifications from Gugulethu, 30% from Manenberg, 22% for Nyanga other areas are shown in the report as well.

Cllr Zondani said that he finds it disturbing that the report includes Athlone and Crossroads while it is for Subcouncil 14.

Mr. Daniels said that it is possible to draw a report that the Cllr is referring to that excludes these other wards. He could have filtered and edited the data but wanted to show the data as it was captured. If the data is limited to show only specific wards it might not show the inaccuracies captured for Subcouncil 14.

The Chairperson referred to the example of Gugulethu that appears four times in the based on the spelling. She added that the data is collated so that it does not get lost.

Cllr Zondani noted the report.
