District and there is 60% of Visual Inspections and 25% Appointment of Contractors.
Cllr Yozi said he takes this report very serious and the fact that there is no official to present the report need to be escalated to the ED of the department. He said that the author of the report form transport department or an official has to be present to explain the report.
He also said that a report was sent to the subcouncil from Ms Sameera Parker where it was said that they are going to start with road surfacing and fixing of potholes in Subcouncil 14 and that was communicated with communities and it has not been implemented.
Cllr Nyingwa said that there are a lot of Potholes in Borcherds Quarry, he was going to appreciate if there was an official to explain for clarity. He said he does not agree with noting of this report until an engagement with an official.
Cllr Ngxumza supported what is said by Cllr Nyingwa and there is a lot of clarity needed from the department regarding potholes. He added that it is becoming a norm for the departments to send a critical report of this nature to the Subcouncil to note while the service delivery is not improved and also without clarity, timeframes and plans of the projects. He supported that there should be an interaction with an official responsible before the Subcouncil meeting to address the challenges and concerns.
There was unanimous agreement with the resolution.
