The Subcouncil Manager introduced the report on Proposed Amendments to the 2017-2022 Integrated Development Plan(IDP) – 2020/21, related to the Council approved mid-year adjustment budget and asked the official to take the meeting through the report.

Cllr Zondani said that the report served in the Council agenda. The political party he represents objected to the report in Council. It recommended that the report would reflected alternatives to delivery as opposed to the reductions in the numbers related to and percentages of the indicators. Our people want service delivery. It does not express the stress that the community faces and the objectives were supposed to take the matter of Covid-19 into consideration but it was not done.

He also said that different departments have funding that is not utilized and when a this is questioned the response is that Covid-19 is the reason of some of the things that were not met by the City of Cape Town.

Mr. Daniels said that we would need to have a comment as the Subcouncil.

Councillor Zondani proposed that the report BE NOT SUPPORTED.

Cllr Dambuza concurred with Cllr Zondani that he does not support this report.

There was unanimous agreement with the resolution.
