Subcouncil 20 REFUSES the application received from Liquor City Retreat, Erf 146733, 353 Main Road, Retreat, 7945, Ref No WCP002922/B for the Extension of Liquor Trading Days and Hours, Sundays, from 11:00 to 18:00 for Consumption off Premises.
 
Reasons for Refusal:
 

• The area was dirty.
• The residents were unhappy with the way the business operated.
• The patrons made a nuisance of themselves.
• Chard Road was not wide enough for ad-hoc parking at the side.
• The establishment has always been problematic; the clientele is particularly troublesome to residents in the area.
• Objections are elaborated on in the written submissions in the report.
