MOTION RECEIVED FROM COUNCILLOR GREGORY PECK THAT SUBCOUNCIL 24 APPROACH THE MANAGER OF INFORMAL SETTLEMENTS TO APPROACH PRASA TO PURCHASE ERF ST794-18 SO THAT THE INFORMAL SETTLEMENT OF DONKERBOS CAN BE RE-BLOCKED AND THAT THE CURRENT PEOPLE LIVING ON THE TWO ERVEN CAN BE GIVEN A FORMAL ERF TO ERECT THEIR PERMANENT DWELLING

The Chairperson stated that he and Cllr Booi did unfortunately not have the meeting and suggested that the Subcouncil request a written response to the Department.
Cllr Peck stated that part of the problem was that some of the ground was owned by PRASA so they could not do anything. Cllr Peck then asked the Department to go back to PRASA as this is where the process stopped.
RESOLVED
The Subcouncil request a writtenreport from the Department requesting for updated progress thus far.
That the item REMAIN on the MRA’s.

MATTERS RECEIVING ATTENTION FOR WARDS 15 AND 84
The Subcouncil Manager explained that Ward 15 and 84 was previously part of Subcouncil 24 and therefore all the matters receiving attention was carried over to Subcouncil 8. Cllr Peck and McFarlane, the ward councillors of ward 15 and 84 said that these matters could be dealt with directly with the line departments at a separate meeting that will be arranged by the Subcouncil office therefore it be proposed that the Matters Receiving for Wards 15 and 84 be closed.
RESOLVED
That all the matters receiving attention relating to Wards 15 and 84, BE CLOSED.
