Resolution detail

RECOMMENDED that,
 
a Portion of Cape Farm No. 616, Cape Farm 616-1 and Erf 63 Spring Field situated at Govan Mbeki Road, Philippi, in extent approximately 65 600 m² which was indicated in more detail by the figure ABCDEFGHJKLMNPQRSTUVWX on Plan LT 1660v2, attached as Annexure “A”, be reserved for the Informal Settlements   Department, subject to the following conditions:
 

1. The subject property shall be utilised for the purpose of initiating a UISP Project for the upgrading of the Kampies Informal Settlement and the relocation of other informal structures to improve service delivery;

2. The Informal Settlements Department takes responsibility for the required land use processes, as well as compliance with any related legislation, the funding whereof to be provided by such Department as required;

3. The said Informal Settlements Department accepts full responsibility for the management and maintenance of the reserved land and any building/structure which may be erected thereon, including maintenance, utility consumption, security and content insurance;

4. All costs, related to the above be provided for by the Informal Settlements Department.
