The following emanated from the Subcouncil meeting of 22 October 2020:
Mr Sarel van Deventer (Recreation and Parks) was present.
Mr van Deventer said that all site meetings have been completed and that they are waiting on SCM to send the results to appoint the vendors to do the repairs. EPWP workers will be appointed soon to assist with minor repairs at the beach ablutions and the removal of sand. He assured the Subcouncil that the concerns as expressed in the motion will be adhered to in the upcoming weeks.

The following emanates from the Subcouncil meeting of 19 November 2020:
The Festive Preparedness Plan for the City of Cape Town is an item (03SUB 29/11/20) on the Subcouncil agenda for November 2020.
Councillor Groenewoud requested the contract between the City and Sunset Links in order to establish who should be responsible for the maintenance of the boardwalks. It was requested that the item remain on the Matters Receiving Attention schedule until the boardwalks are maintained.

The Chairperson said that a visit was held by Cllrs Barends, Groenewoud and herself.
The City is busy with repairs and a MOU is in place with Sunset Links.
