RESOLVED that,
the application for extension of liquor licence trading hours received from reference no WCP/037427 TOERIES KOOP & LOOP (OCEAN VIEW) be REFUSED for the reasons stipulated below:

Drunk-driving road deaths were one of the highest in the world;
-
Anti-social behaviour, violence and crime;
-
Family violence (including gender-based violence) associated with alcohol consumption; and
-
Alcoholism amongst the street people was a major societal challenge.
